I'm Vickie, a humble problem solver and do-er with more than a decade of experience as a user researcher and designer. I love to grow through observation, listening and throwing myself into the thick of things. At the end of the day, I believe the best design comes from paying attention, to people, to problems and to the details most others walk right past.

Start with the user
I begin by understanding who the users are and what they're trying to accomplish, then let research challenge and refine my assumptions rather than confirm them.
Explore broadly, decide deliberately
I explore solutions widely and test ideas against what I've learned until the right direction becomes clear. Exploring broadly doesn't mean moving slowly, I work within constraints and keep things moving.
Build it together
Collaboration is at the core of how I work. The relationships I build with teammates, stakeholders and users shape the outcome just as much as the process itself.
